A lesser seen version of a classic. This original, Eames for Herman Miller, deep black, DSW dining shell chair is stunning on its newer used walnut dowel base. A unique colour complimented by the deep rich colour of the DSW base, this chair is in good vintage condition and is a great example of the Eames shell chair.

Typically found on the upholstered shells; black is a rare shell colour to find in the un-upholstered fiberglass finish which makes this chair extra special. The wonderfully dark, neutral colour means the chair works effortlessly in whatever environment you wish to put it into, whether it be a modern dining space or a retro one; this chair will simply blend in as easily as it will stand out as the centre piece depending on what you require.

Individual Characteristics

In great vintage condition, this is a rather unique version of this iconic piece. There are no cracks or dents and the colour has still retained a strong and vibrant finish with little to no fading present.
