What could be better than an authentic Grey Eames Arm Shell? A beautiful all original Herman Miller RAR on a distinctive newer, used walnut RAR rocking base! The grey finish is a very popular choice and its highly ‘fibrous’ look is complimented by the dark wood of the used rocking base creating a classic chair. 

With early designs beginning back in the 1940s, Charles and Ray’s fiberglass series really have accomplished their dream of designing a chair not only for the masses but that can be used for a wide variety of environments. The dyeing process improved as the manufacturing process became more consistent and, though the highly fibrous finish is still visible, the depth and strength of the colour became greater creating a truly amazing combination. 

Individual Characteristics

A much sought-after colour for these shells, this shell is in good condition for its age. There are some marks on the shell, expected with its age, but overall it is a great example of a vintage classic.

The C with the five pointed star indicates this is a Cincinnati Milicron shell produced by Herman Miller between 1965 and 1978.
