A rather nice example of a rarer colour of shell. This wonderfully conditioned grey yellow Eames Herman Miller DSW dining side chair is a great design piece. A subtle colour, this would make a great addition to any collection or as a stand-alone piece standing out in the room.
A colour that is rarely seen without a fabric or vinyl colour, the gently hues in it adds testament to the versatility these design icons offer. Suitable as either a dining or office chair, the diversity of these chairs was displayed through the myriad of different bases they were made available with.
Individual Characteristics
As a rare colour, this shell is a fantastic example to own. The chair does show some natural signs of wear around the edges but is in great vintage condition.
The shell displays the āCā with the 5 pointed star inside it as a logo which indicates that it is a Cincinnati Milacron shell produced for Herman Miller between 1965 and 1978.
Investment Details
Eames shells are a highly collectable piece. Of course, as with anything, their age and condition are the primary factors influencing the investment value of them and this is coupled with the colour and originality of the chair. As an excellent example of a grey yellow side chair, this is a good investment piece.
