A rare, yet well recognized, Knots pattern Alexander Girard enrichment panel for Herman Miller is in wonderful, vintage, original condition and looks amazing! Girard was very much inspired by traditional folk design, so the enrichment panels utilised folk inspired patterns and images creating a great selection.
Originally designed by Alexander Girard in 1971 to brighten up office environments, he designed a vast array of Environment Enrichment Panels to bring warmth and emotion to the space. They adorned many office places and even personal spaces becoming a popular means to add a bit of colour to the area.
Individual Characteristics
The Panel is in fantastic vintage condition after being lovingly looked after. The knots pattern has retained its vibrant colour. There are some minor dirty marks on it, but a gentle clean should help to alleviate them, further pictures are available upon request.
The stitched signature indicates the Enrichment Panel is one of the earliest versions of these amazing pieces.
