Lime green; quite easily one of the rarest Eames Herman Miller colours and this original DSW chair’s in excellent vintage condition on its newer used DSW base. The depth of the colour in this shell is sublime and is consistent throughout and pops beautifully off the dark colour of the used walnut DSW dowel base.

Special colours could only be obtained through a minimum order of 150; meaning they were usually only created for specific businesses who were filling their offices/spaces with these iconic chairs and wanted colours that meant something to them. Lime green is one of those colours that was only produced in a limited run.

Individual Characteristics

The depth of colour retained in this shell is simple magnificent; only adding to its rarity and the condition amplifies this. There is little to show its age and the edges of the shell are in a great vintage condition too.

The ‘C’ with the five pointed star on the underside of the shell indicates it was produced by them between the years 1965-1978.
