This original, vintage, parchment Eames arm shell chair for Herman Miller has a rich deep colour which compliments its newer, used, dark wood walnut RAR base. The deep parchment colour has not been faded by time, maintaining its bold look. Sat upon its dark wood RAR base it will adorn any room you wish to place it into.

The history of the Eames shells’ is well known, from conception to production, these iconic chairs have maintained firm interest. Parchment was one of the first colours these revolutionizing chairs were produced in and as the factories changed the strength of the colour varied. Being a top from the 60s, this particular shell took advantage of the deep colouring techniques that were being used.

Individual Characteristics

The shell is in fantastic vintage condition though it may show some signs of aged dirt or gentle markings which is to be expected with its age. 

The ‘S’ within the circle on the underside of the shell indicates it originates from Herman Miller’s Summit Plastics factory.
